About Me
My name is Renee Tillinghast, and I am passionate about guiding others toward holistic well-being through yoga. With a B.S. in Psychology and an A.A. in Culinary Arts, I bring a diverse background in education, wellness, and service. Over the years, I have worked as a paraprofessional in schools and managed my own catering business, experiences that strengthened my skills in teaching, mentoring, and creating nurturing environments.

I am a devoted wife of nearly 35 years and proud mother of two married children. Twenty years ago, I felt called to share Christian yoga  while helping others cultivate strength, balance, and peace in body, mind, and spirit. My mission is to empower individuals of all ages and abilities to embrace a healthy, mindful lifestyle while deepening their connection to God.

Hi my name is Renee I am a compassionate and experienced certified Yoga Therapist (YF-CYT and IAYT) and Certified Personal Trainer (NCCPT) with over a decade of teaching experience, blending evidence-informed movement with mindfulness and spiritual depth. Dedicated to supporting individuals in cultivating holistic well-being through practices that integrate body, mind, and spirit. Adept at creating accessible, personalized programs that promote healing, strength, and inner awareness. Committed to meeting clients where they are with empathy, presence, and care.

So what is Christian Yoga?

First yoga itself is not a religion but a health methodology. Pilate’s and ballet are also methodologies. Yoga has been around since pre-historic times. It can be practiced by any religion or no religion at all. A little more recently Hindu and Buddhist traditions have codified this yoga to go with their theology. Christian yoga simply combines our theology with the methodology of yoga.

As Christians we are free to pray, meditate and use our bodies as forms of worship. Our classes will are Bible based and will include prayer, scripture verses, Christian music etc. All to glorify God. Think of it as a way for the body, mind, and soul to meet the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. I hope this journey of Christian yoga blesses you.
